-Blackhawks Patrick Kane was arrested on Sunday at about 5 a.m. after allegedly punching a cab driver, and taking the $15 fare he had given him. (ESPN)

-37 year old Pedro Martinez is scheduled to start for the Phillies Wednesday night against the Cubs. In three minor league starts in the past few weeks, Martinez went 1-1 with a 5.11 ERA. Jamie Moyer will move to the bullpen. Prediction time: After 3 innings pitched on Wednesday, Pedro will land on the 15-day DL with a hangnail.

-Jim Balsillie has failed at buying an NHL team for the third time now. (USA TODAY)

-Four Panthers landed on Collegefootballnews.com's All-Big East Preseason team. TE Nate Byham is the only offensive player to make the first team. DL Greg Romeus and DB Aaron Berry both made the squad, and the final Panther on the list is TJ Porter, who made the team as a punt returner.

-The Pirates two Indian prospects Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel, are actually holding their own in the Gulf Coast League in Bradenton. Maybe this won't turn out to be such a joke after all. (Bleacher Report)
